Hi! We're Natasha and Damian. We're here to share our story and the story of others on the Black and Brown Make Green podcast. Our podcast is designed to help you move from unsure to sure. Our Story
We are both from small towns in the large state of Texas. Damian grew up in far west Texas, in what is now the trendy town of Marfa. Natasha grew up in the country, in Cedar Lake, Texas. We both received a solid foundation on money from our parents, and have always enjoyed learning about and talking about money.
We are both graduates of The University of Texas at Austin. Natasha has a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Learning & Development with a Reading Specialization for grades early childhood to 4th grade. Damian has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Natasha also has her Master's of Education from Texas State University in Educational Technology and is a Certified Financial Education Instructor.
We are passionate about improving our money situation, and we created the podcast to help others improve theirs as well. We know how hard it can be to not have anyone to talk to about money. We know how hard it can be to just start the conversation about money. And we also know that everyone didn't have the conversations that we had with our parents.
Most people don't even know how to start talking about money or what exactly to talk about. We want to give you a bird's eye-view into how we do that. We are sharing our stories around money and more, and we hope you listen to learn and grow with us.
